1925 French GP - Winner - No.10 Robert Benoist/Divo
For the new 2 litre formula of 1923 Delage designed and built the 2LCV – in just three months.
It wasn’t until 1924 that the car started to perform to its potential coming 2nd only to an Alfa Romeo P2 at the ACF Grand Prix at Lyon and a 3rd & 4th at the San Sebastian Grand Prix behind the winning Sunbeam of Henry Seagrave.
For 1925 the 2LCV was upgraded with superchargers and after ironing out the bugs with this set-up that showed themselves at the Belgian Grand Prix the car took 1st & 2nd at the French GP followed by 1st, 2nd and 3rd at the San Sebastian GP.
With the 1.5-litres formula coming in for 1926 the 2LCV was replaced by the Delage 15S8.
